On Thursday, May 14, more than 800 guests attended the Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto’s 2026 Book of Life Celebration. Carole Gruson and Reesa Sud, Book of Life chairs, welcomed 21 new inductees, each of whom embodies a commitment to Jewish values, Jewish continuity, and ensuring that our community remains strong and vibrant for generations to come.
The program featured a conversation between Justice Rosalie Abella and Glennie Lindenberg, chair of the Jewish Foundation, on topics including Justice Abella’s early influences, Jewish life in Canada, the pursuit of Equality in Canada, family, and legacy. The evening also featured a special performance of “Tradition” from the acclaimed HGJTC production of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish with English subtitles.
