REFLECTION FROM OUR CHAIRS

Since we last wrote in February, the Foundation’s professional staff and many dedicated volunteers have executed several exciting events—some new, some returning—to help you become even more intentional in your philanthropy. We have more planned to help enhance your philanthropic journey. You can read about the value and impact of these events in the Get Engaged section.

We are proud to share with you news of a major milestone that the Jewish Foundation recently achieved. As of the close of the quarter on March 31, 2025, the Foundation has more than $1.01 billion in assets under management. This represents a more than doubling of the Foundation’s assets under management since the close of the 2020 fiscal year. We reached this milestone while fundholders also distributed more than $291.7 million during that same period. And we’re just as proud to share news of the more recent impact our fundholders are having within the Jewish community, with approximately $10 million in distributions made to Jewish organizations just in the last quarter. The Foundation’s role as a cornerstone of funding within the Jewish community has become a notable and significant one.

As experts in Jewish philanthropy, the Jewish Foundation helps you thoughtfully plan and sustain your legacy of giving—helping you give meaningfully and intentionally today, while also laying the foundation for the future of your family’s philanthropy. We have personally engaged in this kind of planning and discussion within our own families by taking steps such as working with the philanthropic experts at the Jewish Foundation to develop terms of reference for our succession plans. By including the next generation of our families in our planning and providing them with guidelines, we can ensure our giving priorities will continue. We have also opened Giving Funds for each of our grandkids to encourage them to start thinking about how they can give back. You can learn more about Giving Funds, and read our story, in the Recommended Resources section

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to your philanthropic advisor, who is here to help you reach your charitable goals.

Thank you,
Mike Diamond and Jack Frieberg
