Jewish Teen Board of Greater Toronto

Making Your 40 Hours Count

The Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto's Jewish Teen Board program is an educational experience open to teens in grades 9 through 11 that focuses on Jewish identity, leadership skills and philanthropy. Over the course of the academic year, teens will work together as a philanthropic foundation and:

  •   strengthen their Jewish identity and commitment to Jewish life
  •   learn about giving through a Jewish lens
  •   acquire critical research skills and enhance leadership abilities
  •   build relationships with change-makers and community leaders
  •   challenge each other to make thoughtful decisions for causes that matter
  •   earn over 40 hours of community service

Board members will identify issues in the community, determine funding priorities and meet with organizations leaders in order to decide how to take donation dollars and use them to bring change.
