EMERGENCY APPEAL FOR THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL

On October 7, 2023, Israel was invaded by Hamas terrorists in an unprecedented attack. Hundreds of Israelis have been murdered and thousands have been wounded. Untold numbers of Israelis—including mothers and fathers, children, and fragile seniors—have been abducted and forcibly taken to Gaza.

The Jewish Foundation is working closely with UJA Federation to support their Emergency Appeal for the People of Israel. UJA’s Annual Campaign funds a range of programs through their on-the-ground partners to help those who are suffering.

We are issuing a special appeal to our fundholders who wish to donate to these programs – with every dollar being directed to meeting the extreme needs resulting from this crisis. Dollars will be dedicated to initiatives including:

  1. SAFE EVACUATION OF CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND VULNERABLE ISRAELIS RESIDING IN CONFLICT ZONES, ensuring the swift relocation of those most at risk to places of safety and refuge.

  1. CRITICAL ASSISTANCE FOR VICTIMS OF TERRORISM, extending grants rapidly, typically within 24-48 hours, to those directly impacted by acts of terror, whether through injury or the heartbreaking loss of a family member. These funds aim to address urgent and immediate needs.

  1. MENTAL HEALTH AND RESILIENCE SUPPORT, providing essential mental health services to civilians, including children, who have endured the trauma and grief inflicted by these distressing events, through a range of tailored programs.
